What is Block Confirmation?
In blockchain networks, confirmations represent the number of times a transaction has been verified by the blockchain network and added to the blockchain by miners.
- When a transaction is included in a new block, it receives 1 confirmation. Each subsequent block added to the chain increases the confirmation count by 1.
- The more confirmations a transaction has, the lower the likelihood of tampering, thereby enhancing its security and irreversibility.
- Since different cryptocurrencies have varying block times and required confirmation counts, the actual deposit time may be affected by network congestion and other factors.
How to check confirmation data for my deposit?
1. Log in to the CoinEx website and go to [Assets] > [Deposit].
2. Check the Notes on the right side of the page, and see the required confirmation count for deposits and withdrawals for each coin/token.
3. After completing a deposit, you can check the confirmation count on the blockchain in two ways:
(1) Navigate to the [Recent Deposit Records] or [Deposit History] and click on the TxID (Tx Hash) to view the real-time confirmation status on the blockchain explorer.
(2) Find and copy your TxID from the deposit records, then visit the blockchain explorer for the specific token. Paste the TxID into the search bar to view the current confirmation count and transaction status.
Notes:
- If the confirmation count has not been reached for deposit arrival, please wait patiently for the confirmations.
- If the confirmation count has been reached, but the deposit is still not credited, please submit a ticket to contact customer support and provide the TxID and/or screenshots for further investigation.
